What changed, and when. Written when it ships.

2026-09-11

  • Fixed a crash that could fail a lookup outright when the web search came back empty-handed. It retried clean, so what you mostly saw was a lookup that took two goes.
  • Pasting a single post now gets the same checks a multi-post paste does: a name that is only an @handle, or a post more than 18 months old, holds the lookup until you say go. That door had a warning you could click straight past.

  • Pasting a screenshot of several posts now shows you where each player came from — the words in the picture that produced them — and holds the lookup until two things are answered: a name that is only an account handle, and a post more than 18 months old. Both cost money to look up and neither is usually worth it.
  • Paste your whole desktop by accident and it now says so, with the size, and points at Win+Shift+S.
  • A lookup that comes back garbled is retried once automatically. You only see a failure when two attempts agree.
  • Every "Look up" button now carries the signal bars — the same mark the board uses when a player's week was loud. While a lookup runs the bars fill in turn and the button tells you what it is doing: scouting the web, about 25 seconds. The button still just says "Look up".
  • Send us feedback and you now get an email back. Two lines: we have it, here is its case number, and a person reads every one. Reply to it and you reach a person, not a robot.
  • Every report gets a case number the moment it arrives, so there is always a reference to quote. They used to be handed out one at a time, by us.
  • Reply to any email from us and it now reaches a person, not the address the machine sends from. That was true of nothing before — the acknowledgment, the invitation and the Sunday digest all replied into an unread outbox.
  • The acknowledgment you get after asking for early access reads like a short note now instead of an advert, which is also why it should stop landing in Promotions.
  • Asking for access twice no longer sends you the same email twice. Ask again within a day and you hear nothing; after that you get a note saying we already have you, and since when.

2026-09-09

  • "How it works" in the menu now plays the film. It used to scroll you to the three cards, where you still had to find "See it work" and press it — two taps to answer the question you had already asked. One tap now, from the top of the page or from pricing, on a phone or a laptop. The cards are still there if you scroll.

  • Your weekly digest now arrives Sunday morning, around 7am Eastern, with the board check finishing just before it. It used to run Monday. Sunday is the staff day, and it is the first morning that has Saturday night’s commitments in it.

2026-09-05

  • The week now shows as signal bars beside a player’s name instead of a New signal tag: one bar for small stuff, two for something worth a look, three for a big week or a commitment. Tap it to see what changed. It fits on a phone, which the old tag never did.
  • Scout now monitors 50 players and runs 150 lookups a month, up from 3 and 25. Signal has been folded into it: the two plans are Scout and Program, they have exactly the same features, and the only difference is how much room you get. If you were on Signal nothing changes.
  • Pricing is two plans now: Scout at $39/mo for one person working a board, Program at $99/mo introductory for a whole staff. Signal has been retired — if you are on it nothing changes, and your trial is untouched.
  • The pricing page says only what the product actually does. Three feature lines described things that did not exist and have gone.

2026-09-04

  • Reliability: when a page fails for someone signed in, the app now writes down what broke and where. Telling us is still worth doing — the Send feedback door is how we learn what it felt like — but we no longer only find out when somebody has the time to say so.
  • Every filter on the board says what it filters. A closed control reads "Looked up" or "Verification" instead of "All", and shows "Looked up: Not looked up" once you pick something — so an active filter is obvious without opening anything, and the ones doing nothing say so.
  • Founding terms now read correctly everywhere: free through the regular season (Dec 1), then $99/mo locked. It previously said Signing Day, which was the wrong end of the season.
  • Measurements your staff takes are marked ✓ and cannot be overwritten by a lookup — and "Verified" now means only that, never a number found online.
  • The board can answer "who still needs the tape": filter by verified, partly verified, or not verified, and combine it with "not looked up".
  • An "Admin" entry in the account menu, for whoever has the console.

2026-09-03

  • "Send feedback" — tell us what happened, attach a screenshot if it helps, and a person reads it. It's in the account menu and at the foot of Settings.
  • When a page doesn't load, that screen now offers to report it, with the reference already filled in. You no longer have to describe what broke.
  • A lookup reads the handle's bio before asking you to choose between two players with the same name — and never puts a phone number or an email address on screen when it does.

  • Import reads your file and tells you what it found — no column mapping step.
  • The demo video plays from the landing page and from a scanned QR code.
  • Early-access requests now reach us the moment you send them.
  • This page. Every deploy that changes something you can see gets a line here.
  • Site links work when you're signed in — "How it works" goes to the section it names instead of bouncing you to your board.
  • The pricing page links to the 75-second demo.
  • Ask for early access and you get an email straight back, with the demo in it, instead of only an on-screen confirmation.
  • Invitations arrive by email — and a founding invitation states the terms in writing: free through Signing Day, then $99/mo locked.
  • Sign-up works again for invited coaches. A setting left over from an older invite system was turning people away before we ever checked our own list.
  • Your email address works whatever way you capitalise it.
  • Invite your whole staff in one go — paste addresses however you have them, and anything that isn't an address is named back to you rather than silently dropped.
  • Staff invitations now come from us, and the settings page shows whether each one was delivered, with a resend when it wasn't.
  • Reliability improvements.

  • Camp sheets: photograph one and every player on it lands on your board.
  • Cut-off names from screenshots are resolved before they reach the board, never guessed.
